We are urgently hiring experienced professionals for a Navy ship maintenance role to support vital maritime projects in the Middle East. Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will be an essential part of Navy maritime projects, responsible for the following:
- Liaising with government clients and our consulting team to ensure clear communication and project requirements are met.
- Developing and maintaining work packages for fleet maintenance, including labor and material estimates and schedule planning.
- Conducting ship checks to identify repair and alteration needs, coordinating with on-site representatives for accurate execution.
- Managing technical documents and blueprints, providing precise cost estimates and ensuring compliance with NAVSEA standards.
- Participating in project meetings to help with strategic planning and execution of ship maintenance plans.
- Managing cost-estimates and creating detailed estimates for repair items and ship alterations.
- Supporting program and project managers in planning and estimating repairs, alterations, or fleet modernization projects.
- Conducting site visits and liaising with relevant parties to ensure a full understanding of the project scope and work requirements.
Qualifications
We are looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or related field (or extensive experience in lieu of education).
- Experience: 3-5 years of naval or maritime maintenance planning experience, especially in U.S. Navy ship maintenance.
- Skills: Proficiency in reading ship installation drawings, technical manuals, and NAVSEA standards.
- Communication: Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Physical Ability: Ability to work in demanding environments, including onboard ships and shipyards.
- Travel: Willingness to travel for site visits and project management tasks.
