Job Responsibilities:
- Procurement Strategy: Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with project needs.
- Supplier Sourcing: Identify and source high-quality materials, machinery, and services from local and international suppliers.
- Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contracts and terms to secure the best deals for the company.
- Supplier Relationships: Maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers while also seeking new supplier partnerships in Bahrain.
- Timely Delivery: Ensure materials and equipment are delivered on time to meet project deadlines.
- Cost Management: Monitor purchasing trends and identify opportunities for cost savings.
- Budget Oversight: Manage the procurement budget, providing updates to senior management regularly.
- Compliance: Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, contracts, and Bahrain’s local regulations.
- Collaboration: Work closely with project managers and engineers to anticipate procurement needs for projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in procurement or purchasing, ideally within the contracting or construction industry in Bahrain.
- In-depth knowledge of the Bahrain market, including suppliers and regulations.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and projects effectively.
- Proficiency in procurement software and MS Office.
- Fluency in English is essential; Arabic language skills are a plus.
