Introduction
As a Mechanical Sales Engineer, your primary role will be to generate leads, build strong client relationships, and promote our mechanical products and services. This is a high-impact role that involves working closely with clients, developing solutions, and managing sales activities. We are looking for someone who can handle both the technical and sales aspects of the job with precision and enthusiasm.
Responsibilities
- Generate new sales leads through direct sales methods, including visiting, cold calling, and telemarketing.
- Respond promptly to sales inquiries and develop them into sales opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities and visits.
- Develop new business opportunities that align with company goals.
- Represent the company at conferences, seminars, and other events.
- Prepare offers and quotations, follow up with customers, and manage the sales process.
- Analyze and manage tender documents, from purchase to submission.
- Work closely with suppliers and manufacturers to negotiate the best deals.
- Coordinate with the logistics and finance teams to ensure smooth delivery and payment processes.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, ensuring satisfaction and repeat business.
- Provide pre-sales technical assistance and after-sales support.
- Meet regular sales targets and manage sales projects from start to finish.
- Continuously monitor market trends and competitor activities.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in sales, preferably within the mechanical engineering or related industries.
- Strong technical understanding of mechanical products and systems.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Familiarity with tendering processes and project management.
- Fluency in English (both spoken and written).
- Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills.
- A customer-focused approach with the ability to build lasting relationships.
- Knowledge of the infrastructure, water supply, sewage, and construction sectors is an advantage.
