Responsibilities
As a Tailor Cum Sales Lady, you will be responsible for:
- Taking measurements, altering, cutting, and sewing garments to customer specifications.
- Advising customers on fabric choices and coordinating with them to ensure they select the best materials for their needs.
- Pressing garments using professional pressing machines to ensure a perfect finish.
- Performing clerical duties, including checking and sorting clothes dropped off by customers, identifying stains or damage, and handling special requests.
- Communicating with customers regarding stains, damages, or any concerns they may have.
- Keeping the shop neat, clean, and organized for a pleasant shopping experience.
- Processing payments and attending phone calls in a friendly and professional manner.
Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you should have:
- Proven experience in tailoring, including the ability to take measurements, alter, cut, and sew garments.
- Experience in providing excellent customer service, with the ability to assist customers in selecting fabrics and advising on tailoring options.
- Good knowledge of using pressing machines to ensure quality finishes.
- Strong organizational skills to manage clerical duties efficiently, such as sorting clothes and handling customer inquiries.
- A friendly and approachable demeanor, with excellent communication skills in English and preferably Arabic.
- Previous experience in a tailoring or retail environment will be a plus.
