Job Responsibilities
As a Junior Planning Engineer, your key duties will include:
- Creating detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or similar tools.
- Preparing Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) based on construction drawings.
- Setting work programs and milestones for each phase of the project.
- Monitoring site progress, updating schedules, and identifying areas for improvement.
- Preparing progress reports, identifying potential risks, and developing recovery plans.
- Analyzing project data to track trends and spot issues early.
- Assisting in resource allocation to optimize project timelines and costs.
- Identifying critical path activities, float times, and deviations from baseline schedules.
- Conducting sensitivity analysis to evaluate the impact of project changes.
- Monitoring project costs and ensuring adherence to budget limits.
Qualifications You’ll Need
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- 2–3 years of experience in project planning or a similar role.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6 or other scheduling tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- A detail-oriented approach with a commitment to accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
